Images of Tanner and Peyton

These two are so fun together, they both were great kids
considering we covered over 2600 miles and close to 40 hours in
the van we rented in 8 days. I have tell you the story between
my son and niece..I was Peyton's
first sitter, big surprise, but I would regularly go over after picking up Tanner from school

and watch her till Erik got home, Tanner was always there with me, so he learned to hold her and play with her, being small he was never afraid to hold her, and is now good with all the little cousins we have been having. The two of them got along the entire time, and I love them to death!

Hearst Castle and San Simeon

It was another super windy road on the 1, took like 3.5 hours to get 94 miles, and it was foggy so we couldn't even see the beauty of the coastline at Big Sur. Oh well, we went to Hearst Castle, pretty awesome. Very hot though, the kids and Randy just wanted to jump in the pool, the kids didn't really like it, so if you plan on taking kids there i wouldn't advise it. They didn't complain, because they know tomorrow is Disneyland and Magic Mtn!

Monterey Bay day 4

It's nice to have the same place to sleep for 2 days...played at the beach in Carmel...found an awesome free park that Peyton loved called the Dennis the Menace Park...and ate at the old Fishermans Warf...We have seen seals, pelicans and walruses..It's been fun and the kids are being great except for the usual. And btw, Peyton is the only one I can ever get to smile for pictures, we really all are on vacation too!

Day 3

Long and grueling trip down the coast. Hwy 1 is very curvy but beautiful, I was car sick, luckily no one else was. 7 hours in the car was enough. We are now in Monterey Bay, and as Randy has no cord to download, we are only going off my little camera photos for now...

Day 1 and Day 2

Our vacation began on Wednesday morning at 830 and we ended up in Crescent City, Ca at about 6:30...Terrible motel, not a good place for a germaphobe to sleep, thank God it was a short stay.

Today we left to check out the Redwood Forest and drive the coast...It was an awesome experience we all decided. We drove through Chandelier Tree, they swam in the river and we are now in Fort Bragg....Tomorrow we drive to Monterey Bay, here are some pics from so far. We have logged quite a few miles and time in the car, tempers only briefly flared between my husband and I as we have never attempted anything like this before. Yesterday Peyton told me, after I asked her about what she thought of her trip, "I am going to draw a picture in my mind forever!" I guess my trip was worth everything so far:)

Tanner is now 14

How the time flies my baby is now 2 years from having a drivers license!Yikes. He truly is the best kid, a good student and awesome on a scooter. We had his friends and him to Skatebarn and then a family bbq on Sunday. Love you Tan!
